Angel on My Shoulder is a film about a murdered gangster named Eddie Kagle who is sent to Hell. The Devil, Nick, offers him a chance to return to Earth in the body of a righteous, well-respected judge to corrupt him. Kagle accepts, seeking revenge on his killer, but once in the judge's body, he begins to experience a change of heart and struggles with his newfound morality, much to the Devil's chagrin. The film stars Paul Muni as Kagle/Judge Parker and Claude Rains as the Devil.
