After ruining his career in New York due to alcoholism, reporter Andy Bryant (Walter Byron) moves West. He convinces the owner of a dying newspaper, Doris King (Lila Lee), to let him run the publication. He successfully revitalizes the paper through sensationalist journalism but must battle his personal demons and the ethical dilemmas of "exposing" people for news.
