Bob White, a resentful bachelor and the creator of The Night Club, a free association of unrepentant bachelors, ultimately made the decision to tie the knot. However, because the bride abandons him at the altar, the wedding goes horribly wrong. He becomes a misogynist as a result of the negative experience, and he would rather forgo the substantial sum of money than marry Grace Henderson after finding out that he can only inherit a million dollars. Bob encounters Grace by happenstance some time later, and despite her true nature, he falls in love with her. But after finding out who Bob is, the woman rejects him because she thinks he wants to marry her just to inherit the money. Bob learns that Grace will inherit the money if he passes away. He then makes the decision to give his life and makes an unsuccessful attempt to end his own life. At last, Grace acknowledges Bob's genuine affections and consents to wed him.
