When wealthy Walter Stevens (Lionel Atwill) receives a death threat from a mysterious killer known only as "The Gorilla," he doesn't call the police—he hires the Ritz Brothers, a trio of inept private detectives. As a violent storm rolls in, the situation turns chaotic when an actual gorilla escapes from a nearby circus and begins terrorizing the household.
