Cecil B. DeMille is the director of the American silent romantic drama film The Road to Yesterday. The picture is important since it was Cecil B. DeMille's first release from his new production firm, DeMille Pictures Corporation. Additionally, it was the first leading role for up-and-coming actor William Boyd. Boyd was the sole main male in DeMille's next film, The Volga Boatman, which was a huge hit.
