The Plastic Age is a silent, black-and-white film from 1925 that starred Gilbert Roland, Donald Keith, and Clara Bow. The movie was based on the same-titled best-selling novel from 1924, authored by Percy Marks, an English professor at Brown University who utilized the fictional Sanford College as a backdrop and portrayed the life of the university's fast-set. Most silent film lovers know that The Plastic Age was Clara Bow's first smash and the catalyst for her quick ascent to fame. The novel was adapted for the big screen by Eve Unsell and Frederica Sagor Maas.
