The Beta-hCG test measures the level of human chorionic gonadotropin, often called the "pregnancy hormone," in your blood or urine. This hormone is naturally produced by cells that eventually form the placenta shortly after a fertilized egg implants in the uterus. Doctors most commonly use this test to confirm whether you are pregnant. Quantitative blood tests can also measure the exact amount of hCG to help monitor early pregnancy development, check for potential complications like ectopic pregnancies, or track recovery after a miscarriage. It is a quick and reliable way to get vital health insights.

The Beta-2 Crosslaps (CTx-1) EDTA Plasma test is a specialized blood test used to check your bone health.
When your body breaks down old bone, tiny protein pieces called CTx-1 are released into your bloodstream. By using an EDTA plasma tube (a special vial that keeps the blood sample stable), laboratories can measure how fast your bones are breaking down.
Doctors use this test primarily to diagnose and monitor osteoporosis (weak, brittle bones) and to see how well treatments for bone loss are working. High levels mean bone is breaking down faster than it should.
