The political landscape of Telangana has shifted dramatically today as K. Kavitha, the daughter of former CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao, officially launched her own political outfit: the Telangana Rashtra Sena (TRS).

In a charged atmosphere at Medchal, Kavitha didn't just launch a party; she launched a frontal assault on the "soul" of the BRS. By reclaiming the "TRS" name, she is effectively challenging her father and brother (KTR) for the ideological heart of the Telangana movement.

Reclaiming the Roots

"A party must have a soul," Kavitha told the massive gathering. She argued that the BRS made a "strategic mistake" by abandoning its regional roots for national aspirations. Her new flag—a mix of green, blue, and yellow—is a visual signal of this new direction, emphasizing "Social Telangana" over the "Pink" era of her parent party.

The "Saaru Raaru" Critique

Perhaps the most shocking part of the launch was her direct criticism of KCR. Using the phrase "Saaru Raaru" (Sir won't come out), she questioned why the former CM has remained silent while the state "is being crushed" under the current Congress administration. "The KCR we saw during the movement is no longer there," she lamented.

A Bold 5-Point Plan

Kavitha’s TRS is positioning itself as a welfare-first alternative, promising:

• Free education and universal healthcare.

• 4 lakh jobs in its first year.

• A return to the "Farmer is King" philosophy.

• Social justice for all castes and communities.

As the BRS struggles with internal fractures and the Congress-led government faces its own challenges, Kavitha’s TRS enters the fray as a wild card that could redefine the 2027 elections.
